Dental Set Up with patient anesthetized

The patient is under general anesthesia, is intubated to maintain the gas anesthesia and oxygen necessary for a safe procedure, and covered with a special red animal heating pad to maintain normal body temperature. Electronic and physical monitoring are done by the licensed veterinarian continuously throughout the procedure. Any necessary tooth extractions are performed by the veterinarian. General anesthesia allows us to clean under the gum line without causing discomfort to the patient which cannot be done in an awake patient.
