400 mA X-ray Machine & DR Unit in the Radiology Suite
Pictured above on the left is the new 400 mA X-ray Machine with a floating table top to facilitate stress-free positioning of the patient for x-rays. Hanging on the wall are the lead-lined aprons, gloves, and thyroid collars worn by the technical staff during exposures. The picture on the right is the Idexx Digital X-ray Processing station for computer viewing and real-time interpretation of the exposures. The x-rays can be transmiitted on CD, by email or DICOM link directly to the boarded radiologists for interpretation. For backup purposes, the images are stored digitally on two different hard drives and on the cloud.
